Quote by the First President, George Washington I agree with George Washington. If you respect your own reputation then don't be in bad company. Sometimes its better to be alone than to be in bad company. For example if you hang out with your friends and they are having "fun" by drinking and smoking then it is bad company and it would be better if you are alone because you wont have to deal with your friends pressuring you to try it or anything. Friends that pressure and try to harm you and poison you aren't real friends. In class we saw a video where it was 3 friends that were hanging out watching a basketball game together and one of them pulls out 3 beers and hands to each one of them and they start drinking except one that was in bad company and didn't want to drink or do anything bad. Its always better to be alone to have bad company because if you have bad company then bad decisions with bad consequences may occur. But if you stay alone then the worst thing that can happen is getting bored but its always better than doing drugs and drinking with "friends". Bad company can be those people that you call "friends". True friends wouldn't make you do anything bad and maybe just maybe if they ask you to and you say no to them they would stop and not keep pressuring you to do such a bad thing. Being with friends may be fun and all but sometimes you are better off alone. Just do the right thing and be responsible and safe.
