SSS- Karl G. Maeser
"I have been asked what i mean by 'word of honor' . I will tell you: Place me behind prison walls-walls of stone ever so high, ever so thick, reaching ever so far into the ground-there is a possibility that in some way or another I might be able to escape; but stand me on the floor and draw a chalk line around me and have me give my word of honor never to cross it. Can i get out of that circle? No, never! I'd die first. " Quote by Karl G. Maeser Karl G. Maeser is a true man of honor. Maeser said that he'll die first than "get out of that circle". When you keep your word to someone than that someone is trusting you and relying on you to keep your word. For example, lets say you give your word to a member in your group project to do the rest of the unfinished work, then that member will rely on you to keep your word and do the work and you must do it. When you give a word to someone you have to know that you can do it and not back out of it...
