NFL (National Football League)

The National Football League is a professional American football league with 32 teams, divided equally between the National Football Conference (NFC) and the American Football Conference (AFC). In the NFL there are 17 weeks in season but every team plays 16 games due to bye week, which is from weeks 5-11, and it was created so there can be an extra week of football. After the 17 weeks the best 12 teams with the best records (6 from AFC, 6 from NFC) contend in the NFL playoffs to make it to the Super Bowl and try their best to win. 1 week before the Super Bowl, there is an event where the best NFC stars play against the best AFC stars. The thing most watched is the Super Bowl because its the best AFC and NFC teams going against each other to win the Vince Lombardi Trophy and every player in the team that won earns a Super Bowl ring which costs over a thousand dollars. The sport of football is an entertaining game where you have to be physically, mentally, and socially strong. The game was introduced in the 1800's but the NFL started on August 20, 1920, and it has been very popular in the U.S. It is also played in Canada and China. Canada has a league called Canadian Football League (CFL). Rugby is a similar sport  to football. Currently all the NFL season games are over and done even playoffs but the pro bowl is this Sunday on 1-28-18 at 3 and Super Bowl 52 will be the following Sunday at 3:30 where the Philadelphia  Eagles will face the the Super Bowl 51 champs, New England Patriots, at the U.S Bank Stadium at Minneapolis.

True can have many definitions and it can be a verb, adverb, and an adjective. True can mean honest and loyal. Lincoln is bound to be honest and loyal than to win. If you are bound to win at least do it with truth. Win with loyalty and honesty. You can win a game by cheating but its better to be true because then bad things may happen to you too. For example we played a school a couple weeks ago and the coach from the other school wasn't really playing fair and they won and later that day he texted our coach and told him that we won the game that he wasn't being honest. "Kindness is the essence of greatness." Quote by Joseph B. Wirthlin I strongly agree with this statement/quote by Joseph B. Wirthlin. It is true that kindness is the essence of greatness because that's what determines what kind of person you are, what is your true character. If you don't have kindness then you would have a bad reputation and make you look like if you don't have a good character. For example if you play a sport and you are arguing with the referee then it would make you look bad, maybe you might be a good athlete but you would have a bad character on yourself. It's better to be kind and choose the right then be mean and choose the wrong.

"In life as in football, you wont go far, unless you know where the goalposts are." Quote by Arnold H. Glasgow I agree with this quote by Arnold H. Glasgow. This quote relates from football to real life. In football you have offense and defense and in offense you must know where the goalpost is to score a field goal (3 pts.) or a touchdown (6 pts.). If you go the opposite way you will make it easier for the defense. The goalpost would be you're goal and you are the offense and the people trying to stop you from making it to your goal are the defense. You must pass every one to score/achieve your goal. This can go for every sport because you must know where you have to score (your goal). There will always be a defense trying to stop you from scoring or getting to your goal and you must either "juke" them to get there.
